Science is all around us. Because of this, the curiosity to learn is a natural and important part of life. This is one reason why teaching Science to 8th graders is a thrilling experience. I learn with my students as I teach. Building the background knowledge and instilling a love to learn are goals that I have for my students. I appreciate the students' willingness to learn and their desire to find out about the world that they live in. This makes my job the best job around!

Of course we all want the best for our kids, and that is what drives our expectations that we have for them. I do expect my students to be respectful, optimistic, and polite towards themselves, others, and everything around them. By practicing these simple guidelines, our students will become productive citizens.
