It's hard to believe this is my sixth year here at AES. It is still the best job I've ever had. I don't believe I have ever been as excited for a year to begin as I was this year. We have a great staff,terrific students, and parents who believe in their children's education. I plan to spend more time in classrooms this year as we strive to live up to our "Quest for Character" theme. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy your kids.

The Character word for the first six weeks is "trustworthiness." I will be visiting classrooms to tell some stories and present lessons to reinforce this trait.

We are constantly aware and looking for solutions to the problem of bullying. While we plan to continue working to ensure that Anson Elementary is a safe learning environment, we are working even more with students who feel like they are "targets' of bullies.
