"Teach with Passion, Learn with Passion, Live with Passion! This is our school motto and I have adopted this as my own. I am beginning my 27th of teaching with passion! I use a literature based approach to teaching English. I have found that teaching reading by using great literature makes learning much more interesting and enjoyable. It is awesome to hear a student ask,"Are we going to read that good book today?"
There is not a day that goes by that I do not feel blessed to teach in Anson I.S.D. Our school has so much to offer the children in our community from computer labs, a good library, a great cafeteria,caring teachers, and a positive learning environment. I can honestly say that I wouldn't want to teach anywhere else.

In 7th grade English, we read several novels where I incorporate reading, writing, vocabulary, speaking and listening skills. I do a variety of activities each week to keep the students interested and excited. Each six weeks the students will complete a book project. All my grades count equally in the gradebook.
